Blaby Bullets History

Blaby Bullets was founded in 2011, originally with just one team under the name of 'Blaby Bulls'. The core aim was to develop a a club with key values and a playing philosophy that would be recognisable across all teams as the club started to grow. Since 2013 the club has made a big investment in Futsal and is one of the few teams in the county to offer regular futsal specific training sessions, with many players now playing at an advanced level. This is additional to football training.

Most of the players in our current U14 team (2019/2020) have been with the club since the age of 5 or 6 and this has been complemented with some welcome additions in recent years. All players have been part of a patient development process which has resulted in many recent successes. This includes Futsal County Champions (2016 & 2018), Futsal League & Cup winners (2018), Futsal World Cup Silver Finalists (2017), Foxes Football League Division 1 Champions (2018), various tournament successes, U13 Football County Cup Winners (2019) and Futsal Midland Regional Champions 2020.

However, the philosophy remains the priority over and above results. Whilst we cannot guarantee continued success in terms of results we will continue to provide an environment which promotes creativity and intelligence. This allows players the opportunity to become the best that they can be which is a bigger long term victory than any game, league or cup.

During the 2019/2020 season we are proud to have launched a girls team that are now competing in the Leicestershire Futsal League, alongside playing football friendly games. If you have a daughter in year 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 and want to know more please get in touch.
